Using the heated dry option ensures that your dishes dry completely
The Maytag MDHB950 Automatic Dishwasher has features that are unique to this model. It also has many standard features commonly found in all models of dishwashers. Problems that occur can be diagnosed by following a few troubleshooting steps. You can resolve many of the common issues that occur with this model without calling a repairman.
Instructions
1. Press the "Start/Cancel" button to start the dishwasher if it will not fill. The cycle may not have been properly started.
2. Make sure the door is securely latched. The dishwasher will not start a cycle if the door is not completely closed.
3. Check for obstructions in the drain or garbage disposal if the dishwasher will not drain. If the dishwasher is connected to a garbage disposal, make sure the knock-out tab is removed from the garbage disposal inlet.
4. Turn off the "ToughScrub" mode if the cycle is taking too long. This mode extends the cycle to heat the incoming water.
5. Run the dishes in the dishwasher through a "Rinse Only" cycle if there is an odd odor coming from the dishwasher. If the odor persists, place baking soda in the detergent cup and run a light wash cycle.
6. Press "Start/Cancel" if the indicator lights are flashing. Once a cycle is selected, the countdown display will flash until the cycle is started or the process is canceled.
7. Select the "Heated Dry" option if items are not properly drying or the interior of the dryer is moist.
