No one wants to run their dishes through a moldy dishwasher, you have to eat off those plates after all. Lucky there are simple methods you can apply to make sure that moldy smell goes away. With a few ingredients you can have your dish washer smelling brand new in no time.
Instructions
1. Scrub the inside of your dishwasher with a mixture of 1/2 cup of bleach or white vinegar deluded by water. Remove all trays and the drain catch and scrub thoroughly. Be sure to clean the seal on the inside of the door of the dishwasher, because this can be a common place for mold to congregate. Clean the edges and the bottom of the door also.
2. Clean the spinning dishwasher arms. These arms have holes and moving parts which can be clogged by food debris. Use toothbrush and toothpicks to remove all debris and scrub with cleaning solution.
3. Clean the drain. Remove the drain cover and scrub inside the drain with the cleaning solution until it is clear of debris. Replace the drain cover.
4. Run the dishwasher on the hottest setting with a teaspoon of bleach. When the cycle finishes your dishwasher should smell clean again.
