Deciphering LED Flashes
Steady Burning LED indicates normal furnace operation.The number of short flashes of the LED represents the first digit of the two digit fault code. The number of long flashes of the LED represents the second digit of the fault code.
Homeowner Serviceable Fault Codes
Fault Code 12 indicates a power interruption on the furnace powered up during a call for heat. If this code is present, verify that the blower runs for ninety seconds before the furnace starts a normal heating cycle.
Fault Codes 13 or 33 indicate a limit switch lockout. The air filter may be dirty, or the air return or supply grilles may be blocked.
Fault Codes 14 or 34 point to an ignition lock out or an ignition fault. This indicates a problem with the gas supply. The manual gas supply shutoff valve must be in the open position, and the control switch on the gas valve must be on.
Fault Code 24 points to the violet colored furnace fuse. A blown fuse may indicate a short in the 24 Volt wiring.
Fault Code 31 means the pressure switch is not closed. A vent restriction or high winds may be restricting the combustion air supply.
Codes Requiring Dealer Intervention
Fault Codes 21, 22 or 23 indicate situations beyond those which should be addressed by the average homeowner. These codes must be reported to the dealer.
