Whirlpool Energy Efficient Dishwashers

Whirlpool has been a partner with Energy Star, which rates the overall efficiency of appliances, for about 12 years as of 2011. This partnership has produced quality, energy efficient appliances at affordable prices. Whirlpool has a whole line of Energy Star rated dishwashers that can save you hundreds of dollars each on your electric bill. Always check the dishwasher label for the blue Energy Star logo before purchasing the dishwasher.

Gold

The Whirlpool Gold series of Energy Star qualified dishwashers are available in different colors, including black, white and stainless steel. They come with either fully integrated or standard controls, and the integrated controls are hidden on the top, interior panel of the dishwasher. The GU3200XTXY model comes in black, white or stainless steel, and its dimensions are 23 7/8 inches wide by 24 1/2 inches deep and 34 1/2 inches high. It has six cycles and six options, and it has fold-down tines and shelves just for cups. It also comes with a cycle countdown to let you know how much cleaning time is left.

ADA Complaint

The GU3100XTVS complies with the American Disabilities Act's height requirements for disabled people. You can adjust the height of the machine from 32 1/2 to 34 1/2 inches high. The dishwasher is 23 7/8 inches high. It features a cup shelf and four different options, and it has a delay timer feature, allowing you to set the dishwasher to start between two and four hours later. It also has a control lock to keep children from stopping or starting the dishwasher. This model is available in black, white and stainless steel.

Tall Tub

The tall tub dishwashers come in the following colors: metallic, stainless steel, off-white, black and white. The models in this series have the tallest tubs offered by Whirlpool, allowing you to wash taller objects. The GU3600XTVY model has a stainless steel interior and 36 spray jets, and it features the AnyWare Plus silverware basket that allows you to place the basket in up to three different areas of the dishwashers. The dimensions of this dishwasher are 23 7/8 inches wide by 24 7/8 inches deep by 34 1/2 inches high. This washer comes with six cycles and six options

Built-in

Built-in dishwashers must sit between two cabinets or a cabinet and a wall. The cabinetry and walls provide support for the dishwasher and keeps it upright. These dishwashers are available in white, black and off-white, or you can purchase these with custom panels that match your cabinetry. The DU810SWPU comes with custom panels or in white or off-white. It has five cycles and one option, and the tub is made of plastic. Its dimensions are 23 7/8 inches wide by 24 7/8 inches deep by 24 3/8 inches high. It features the 3-Level DuraWash Tower Feed system, which shoots jets around your dishwasher to ensure that your dishes get clean.
