Common Causes Of Either No Or Little Water Flow Inside A Ge Dishwasher

Dirty dishes are eliminated when you fix your dishwasher's water problem.

A GE dishwasher is an appliance of convenience. Dirty dishes can pile up after a meal, but the GE dishwasher takes all of the work out of cleaning them. When your GE dishwasher isn’t giving you the water flow that you need, you will need to diagnose the problem quickly to get your dishwasher back up and running.

Supply Hose

The water supply hose connected to the back of your dishwasher is the primary means that the unit uses to get water into the system. When the supply hose is kinked or isn’t hooked up properly, you will not get the water that you need. The supply hose should be straight on the back of your dishwasher.

Float Assembly

The GE dishwasher utilizes a float assembly. When the float assembly rises, the water coming into the dishwasher ceases. If the float assembly gets stuck, no water will come into the dishwasher. Make sure that your float assembly is not stuck or broken and replace it if needed.

Water Inlet Valve

The water inlet valve brings water into the dishwasher from the water supply line. If your water supply line is hooked up properly but your water inlet valve is clogged, the system will not be able to bring water into the dishwasher. Replace the water inlet valve’s filter or replace the water inlet valve all together.
