Specifications Of A Dcs Range

The Louisiana-based DCS Range company was founded in 1989 and began as a supplier of outdoor cooking products. The company has since expanded to produce electric cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, warming drawers, refrigerators and, as its name implies, a variety of ranges. These ranges come in different fuel options and are available in 30-, 36- and 48-inch sizes. Specifications of DCS ranges change as the company alters its line-up over time.

30-Inch Ranges

As of 2010, DCS Ranges offers six 30-inch range models in propane and natural gas options. The line encompasses the RGT-305, RDT-305 and RGTC-305 models. The entry-level RGT-305 propane and natural gas models feature five sealed dual flow burners, three of which run at 17,500 BTU and two of which run at 12,500 BTU. This model offers 4.2 cubic feet of oven space. The RDT-305 and RGTC-305 propane and natural gas units feature the same burners, but offer 4.0 cubic feet of oven space, lower simmer temperatures and a roller rack system for pan removal. RGTC-305 models feature self-cleaning capabilities. Like all DCS ranges, these models feature brushed stainless steel body construction and electric-powered ovens.

36-Inch Ranges

DCS Ranges' 2010 line-up includes 11 36-inch propane and natural gas cooking ranges with varying specifications. These ranges add griddles to the design. The RDT-366 models feature six sealed dual flow burners -- four at 17,500 BTU and two at 12,500 BTU -- with an 18,000 BTU grill. These ovens offer 5.3 cubic feet of space with three racks, three positions and 30,000 BTU baking heat. DCS Ranges RDT-364GL models feature the same BTU outputs and oven space sizes, but have only four burners -- two of each BTU power -- while RDT-364GD models have two 15,000 BTU and two 12,500 BTU burners. GD models have 5.3 cubic feet of oven space with electric ovens that reach up to 3,733 watts, or 12,740 BTU.

48-Inch Ranges

DCS Ranges' 16 48-inch natural gas and propane ranges include RGT-484GG, RGT-485GD, RGT-486GL and RGT-486GD models. These models all feature burners, grills, griddles and two electric oven spaces. RGT-484GG ranges feature four sealed dual flow burners -- two each at 17,500 and 12,500 BTU -- alongside an 18,000 BTU grill and an 18,000 BTU griddle. Their primary ovens offer 5.3 cubic feet of space at baking temperatures of 30,000 BTU, while their secondary ovens offer 2.2 cubic feet and 18,000 BTU. RGT-486GD models feature four burners at 15,000 BTU and two at 12,500 BTU and a primary oven size of 4.0 cubic feet while RGT-486GL models add two 15,000 BTU burners to these specifications. The RGT-485GD offers a mid-range option here, as it features the same specifications as the RGT-486GD models, but has five burners.
