Magic Chef makes fridges in addition to other kitchen appliances
Magic Chef is an appliance company that makes a variety of home and business appliances including refrigerators, stoves, microwaves and other kitchen tools. As is the case with most appliances and electronic devices, each Magic Chef appliance has a model number in addition to a serial number. The serial number is unique to one unit and may be a combination of letters and numbers. You may need the serial number when filing a warranty claim or seeking a replacement to a defective unit.
Instructions
1. Open the refrigerator compartment door. Inspect the inside panels for an information plate or sticker. Depending on the placement this may be on one of the sides, on the top of or on the inside of the door.
2. Identify the information plate or sticker by the series of numbers, model information and "Magic Chef" name on it. If you do not find the plate or sticker, close the door and open the freezer door. Inspect the inside panels looking for this information.
3. Locate the number under the "Serial No." heading on the information sticker. This is the Magic Chef serial number unique to your appliance. The serial number may be next to or under the "Model No." If you still are unable to locate the number, proceed to Step 4.
4. Pull the fridge out and inspect the edges around the coils and compressor looking for a sticker with the model and serial information on it. Inspect both sides of the exterior of the unit as well for the information. Once you have the number, write it down for future reference.
