Locating your dishwasher's model number is vital when it needs repairs or you want to purchase new parts. If you have not kept the original owner's manual, just look inside your dishwasher. Sears, which manufactures Kenmore Elite appliances, places the number in several different places.
What to Seek
Kenmore Elite dishwashers typically have model numbers that consist of three digits, a decimal point, and six-to-eight more digits (example 123.1234567), according to Sears PartsDirect. The numbers are preceded by the words "MO," "MOD" or "Model No." If your model is different and incorporates letters, remember that the letter "I" or the letter "O" can be confused with 1's and 0's.
Where to Look
Look for a sticker or plate on the dishwasher's top edge, the right edge of the dishwasher door and the underside of the dishwasher's roof, right above the highest rack.
