Clean Nuwave Oven Pro'S Powerhead

A dirty NuWave powerhead blocks the infrared light to increase cooking times.

The powerhead on the NuWave Oven Pro is the only part of the appliance that is not dishwasher safe. All the digital components and the infrared lights that heat the oven are contained within the powerhead unit. Regular use can coat the NuWave Oven Pro's powerhead with a layer of grease and food debris. You can clean the powerhead by hand in just a few minutes while the other parts are finishing up in the dishwasher.

Instructions

1. Turn the cook time dial to "Off" and unplug the NuWave Pro Oven. Wait 30 minutes or more for the sides of the dome to feel cool to the touch. Twist the powerhead counterclockwise until it can be lifted off the cooking dome.

2. Wet a nonabrasive sponge in hot water. Wring the excess water back into the sink to leave the sponge only slightly damp.

3. Wipe down the outer surface of the powerhead including the cord and digital display. Rinse and wring out the sponge frequently until the entire unit is clean. Dry the cleaned powerhead with a clean kitchen towel.
