Dishwasher Instructions

A stainless-front dishwasher wirth adjustable cycle dial.

Automatic dishwashers take some of the drudgery out of running a household. At the end of a meal you just load the dirty dishes in the machine, then press a few buttons or twist a dial and forget about dishpan hands. Most automatic dish washers are designed with options for choosing different cleaning cycles depending on the size of the load and the extent of the filth, such as baked-on food in a casserole dish. The main point to remember is to not overload the dishwasher with too many dishes. Otherwise, you may find your dishes aren't sparkling clean at the end of a cycle.

Instructions

1. Push up or turn the locking latch, depending on the model, on the top of the dishwasher door to release the door and open the appliance.

2. Pull out the wheeled dish racks until it is fully extended. Most dishwashers have a top rack and a bottom rack for dishes of different sizes.

3. Load dirty plates, pots, pans and other large items on the bottom rack of the dish washer. Drinking glasses, bowls and smaller items go on the top rack. Avoid stacking dishes on top of dishes. The racks are equipped with dividers to hold individual dishes and glasses, so don't overload the appliance.

4. Fill the detergent reservoir on the inside of the dishwasher door with a powered or liquid cleaning detergent and close the reservoir cover, which is spring-loaded and snaps into the locked position when closed.

5. Shut the dishwasher door and push until it locks with a click.

6. Press the button or twist the control knob on the front panel to the desired washing cycle and press "Start," or turn the cycle knob to the "Start" position.
