Troubleshoot A Danby Ddw399w

Clearing loose food off dishes will help them come out of the dishwasher cleaner.

Danby is a company that began in 1947 making small electrical appliances. Today, Danby makes a series of home appliances such as air-conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators and dishwashers. The Danby DDW399W is a portable countertop dishwasher that is intended for those who have limited space in their kitchens. If the dishwasher isn't performing up to your standards, you can usually remedy the situation with some in-home troubleshooting techniques.

Instructions

1. Adjust the leveling legs on the bottom so the dishwasher is level and ensure the door is closed securely if it won't start. Also, ensure the unit is plugged into the electrical outlet securely.

2. Scrape all of the food off the dishes as best you can if the dishes aren't completely clean when the dishwashing cycle is completed.

3. Position the dishes so the spraying action reaches the soiled area of each dish if food is still left when it's finished.

4. Move any dishes out of the way of the spray arm if it is obstructed, add more detergent or straighten out the hose if it has a kink in it and the dishes aren't coming out as clean as you'd like. Add fewer dishes to the dishwasher if it is full.

5. Wait for the complete cycle to finish if you notice quite a lot of water left in the bottom of the dishwasher.

6. Run the dishwasher with no dishes or detergent, and just 1 cup of white vinegar once per week if you have hard water in your home. Hard water often leaves a white film on your dishes, and scaling on the stainless steel part of the dishwasher tub.

7. Ensure the dishwasher hose is attached securely to the faucet if you see it leaking into the sink or if the dishes aren't being rinsed well enough during the cycle.
