Size
True to its name, The Vivitar Mini Digital Camera is very small indeed. It is 2.5 inches long, 1.75 inches high, and only 0.75 inches deep. That is smaller than a credit card. It can be stored in your pocket or purse, and the attached keychain allows you to connect to your set of keys so you can take it everywhere.
Functions
This mini camera features several functions that allow for variety of use. It is a camera, so its main function is to be used as a still digital camera. There is also a video function that allows you to take several seconds of video, which you can then transfer to your computer. Finally, you can also connect this camera to a computer with the included USB cable and use it as a Web cam.
Capacity
The Vivitar Mini Digital Camera features 16MB of internal flash memory to store your videos and photos. That roughly equates to about 240 pictures. The number of videos you can store depends on the length of each video. When the camera is full, you just connect it your computer and copy the files, freeing up the 16MB to capture more pictures.
System Requirements
To connect the camera to your computer, your computer will need to meet the minimum system requirements. Such requirements include a PC with Windows 98 or later, a Pentium processor, at least 64MB or RAM, at least 50MB or hard drive space and a USB port.
Software CD
The software CD that is included with the camera allows you to use the Web cam function of the camera as well as easily transfer your photos from the camera to your computer. The CD also includes picture editing software which allows you to create things such as greetings cards and calendars. The software also allows you to manage your photo library so you have access to all of the pictures you have taken.
