Remove The Rinse Agent From A Dishwasher Dispenser

Clearing the rinse agent will improve the performance of your dishwasher.

The dishwasher can really make a difference when you have a lot of dishes that need to be cleaned. When the dishwasher isn't working properly, nothing can be more annoying. One of the causes for a dishwasher to fail is that the rinse agent isn't working. When the rinse agent isn't working, streaks and water spots will be seen on the dishes. If the rinse agent dispenser isn't cleaned, it can clog very easily. Removing the rinse agent cap and cleaning it will improve the performance of your dishwasher.

Instructions

1. Open your dishwasher and locate the rinse agent on your unit. The rinse agent is usually located on the dishwasher door next to the detergent dispenser.

2. Turn the rinse agent cap clockwise to take it off of the rinse agent. Put the cap somewhere that you will not lose it.

3. Use your hand or a screwdriver to turn the dishwasher dispenser to the maximum allotted for dispensing the rinse agent.

4. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the spray bottle. Spray a couple of squirts of the vinegar into the rinse agent.

5. Put the rinse agent cap back onto the rinse agent. Close the dishwasher door and run the dishwasher to clean out the rinse agent and the vinegar in the system.
