Finding your stove's model number can be tricky.
Finding the model number on your electric stove can be more challenging than expected. Because of the required sterile cooking appliance specifications, model numbers are most often not found in easily spotted places on the stove top or in the oven, but in unseen places where the labels cannot accumulate dangerous bacteria and contaminate food. When locating your range's model number be prepared to take pieces of the range apart.
Instructions
1. Locate the fuse cover on the top, back portion of your range. Carefully lift the cover off the fuse compartment and look on the cover's underside for the model number. Replace the cover in the same orientation on top of the fuse compartment.
2. Pull each of the burners out of their sockets and look on the underside of each burner dish. If you still do not see the model number, carefully lift the stove top from the edge and glance underneath in each corner. Replace the stove top and all of the burner dishes and their respective burners.
3. Pull open your oven door and look at the upper left corner for the model number. Few ranges place the model number labels here, but it is wise to check.
4. Open the bottom drawer of the range. Check all four corners on the range, then check the four inside corners of the drawer door.
5. Slowly pull the range away from the wall and far enough that you can see down each side. Check both the right and left sides toward the rear and bottom of the range. Look at the top of the range behind the fuse compartment on the backside.
