The Maytag WU202 dishwasher is a residential appliance designed for permanent installation below a kitchen counter. The dishwasher has two racks used to hold the dishes in place during the wash cycle. The racks roll in and out of the dishwasher for easy loading and unloading. The wheels on the dishwasher racks support the entire weight of the rack and may break after regular use. A broken wheel will make loading and unloading the dishwasher difficult, so it should be replaced with a new wheel as soon as possible.
Instructions
1. Extend the upper rack out of the dishwasher until the wheels reach the rack stops.
2. Use a flat screwdriver to depress the tabs on the rack stops and remove the stops.
3. Pull the dishwasher rack straight out of the dishwasher.
4. Hold the bolt on the inside of the rack using an adjustable wrench and loosen the wheel axle with the screwdriver. Repeat for each wheel that you would like to remove.
5. Place a new wheel from a wheel kit on the axle and place the bell-shaped metal washer on the axle, resting against the wheel.
6. Insert the axle into the axle hole on the rack and place the small lock-washer, large rubber washer and small rubber washer onto the axle.
7. Thread the hex-nut from the wheel kit onto the end of the axle and tighten using the adjustable wrench and screwdriver. Repeat for each wheel that you would like to replace.
8. Slide the rack back into the slide arms and push it into the dishwasher.
9. Snap the rack stops back into place.
