Portable washers connect directly to the kitchen sink.
Portable washing machines, on wheels, roll easily into a closet for storage and back out again when they are needed. These portable washers connect to a kitchen sink faucet when you need to do laundry. For small apartments or people who loathe going to the laundromat, a portable washer is the solution. The feed hose connects to the kitchen faucet, which is then adjusted for water temperature. The drain hose clamps to the sink and expels dirty water from the machine straight down the drain.
Instructions
1. Glide the portable washing machine from storage to the front of the sink.
2. Extend the retractable feed hose from the back of the appliance to the faucet and attach the coupler on the end of the hose to the faucet, twisting counterclockwise to tighten the connection by hand.
3. Turn the faucet knobs to release the water, checking to make sure you have a tight connection with the portable washer's feed hose. Tighten the coupler again if water sprays around the connection.
4. Lower the exhaust hose on the back of the washer into the sink so the hose points down the drain. Many portable washer exhaust hoses are equipped with a plastic clip that attaches to the faucet with the hose pointing downward toward the drain.
5. Plug the power cord for the appliance into an electrical outlet.
6. Adjust the hot and cold water controls on the kitchen faucet to achieve the desired water temperature before starting the appliance.
