Lime, or lime scale, is an unsightly, white deposit that builds up on surfaces repeatedly exposed to hard water with a high-lime content. Lime deposits are common in showers, washing machines and dishwashers. A buildup of lime makes it more difficult for your dishwasher to clean your dishes effectively. Use a simple vinegar and lemon rinse to clean the lime deposits from the interior of your dishwasher.
Instructions
1. Mix 2 cups of white vinegar and the juice of three lemons in a glass measuring cup.
2. Pour the vinegar and lemon juice mixture into the bottom of your dishwasher.
3. Close the dishwasher door. Program the dishwasher to run a regular washing cycle.
