My Frigidaire Dishwasher FDS251RJ Won't Pump Out Water
Frigidaire brand dishwashers are available in various finishes and sizes and with different options, such as drying sensors, space organization systems, large silverware baskets, delay start options and delicate crystal wash, and many are Energy Star rated. Available for purchase online through Frigidaire and in many home retail, appliance and department stores, Frigidaire dishwashers, including the FDS251RJ should operate well with basic maintenance. However, if problems happen, such as if the dishwasher doesn't pump out water, some troubleshooting actions may be effective in solving the issue.
Instructions
1. Use only the recommended amount of dishwashing detergent, as oversudsing may leave water inside the tub after the wash cycle is complete.
2. Inspect the drain hose for kinks or obstructions. Clean and straighten as needed.
3. Run the garbage disposal at the sink nearest to the dishwasher and check the knock-out plug at the connection between the two. The knock-out plug should be removed.
4. Examine the water inlet valve and ensure it is properly connected and tightened, as this may be leaking water into the dishwasher if loose or improperly connected.
5. Listen to the dishwasher while functioning to see whether it is pausing between the wash and drain cycles and that the pump makes a clunking sound when pumping out water. If there are no pauses and no sounds from the pump motor, contact a service professional.
