Remove Super Glue From Surfaces
Have you found yourself in the sticky situationof trying to removing super glue from surfaces in your home? With a few items that you probably have in your home, you'll find that you can can restore your surfaces to their original "nonsticky" condition.
Instructions
1. Use nail polish remover to remove super glue from surfaces, such as: kitchen counters, glass tables and ceramic tile. Dip a cotton swab or cotton ball into the nail polish remover, then gently apply the solution to the glue. In a timely fashion, rinse the area with warm water. The longer nail polish remover is left on a surface, the more likely the chance of discoloration or damage from acetone.
2. Use vegetable oil to remove glue from skin. Place the bonded area of your body (such as fingers) over a sink. Pour vegetable oil directly onto the glue. Rub the bonded skin gently--until all glue has been removed. Wash the oil off of your body with warm, soapy water.
3. Remove super glue from metal surfaces with lighter fluid. Moisten a cotton ball with lighter fluid. Rub the cotton ball onto the metal surface to remove glue. After the glue has been removed, wash the metal surface. Then wash your hands thoroughly.
4. Remove super glue from plastic surfaces with rubbing alcohol. Dip the tip of a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. Apply the cotton swab to the glue on plastic surfaces, such as keyboards, video games and toys. Once the glue softens, wipe or rinse the plastic object thoroughly.
