You may be without clean dishes if your dishwasher dial gets stuck.
Bosch dishwashers are available in models with a completely digital control panel as well as those with dials and other buttons. Both types of models generally work by counting down through the cycle process with either a timer or a dial. As you use your dishwasher, you can encounter performance issues such as the dial's getting stuck during the wash cycle. When this occurs, troubleshoot on your own before calling a service representative for assistance.
Instructions
1. Look at the main switch to confirm that it is not set on "off." If it is, that is why the dial is stuck. Push it to get it into the "on" position so that the dial can advance. If it is already on, continue troubleshooting.
2. Move the dial with your hand by turning it to see if it will advance. Being stuck may be a glitch, and moving the dial may get it back on track.
3. Test another appliance or light in the home to determine whether you are experiencing a power outage. If so, a dishwasher picks up where it left off when power is restored.
4. Check your breaker box to determine whether the breaker for the dishwasher has tripped. If so, reset it and the dishwasher will resume its cycle. If your home has a fuse box instead of a breaker box, check for a blown fuse. Replace the fuse if it is blown.
5. Inspect the control panel of the dishwasher where the dial is to determine whether the unit has a control board failure. If nothing lights up on the control panel, this may be the case. A qualified dishwasher service person can assist you with an internal component failure such as this.
