Replace A Hotpoint Stove Door

Hotpoint is an appliance company owned by General Electric. The company makes many types of low-cost home appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers and ranges. The door on all Hotpoint ovens is removable so the door or oven can be repaired and cleaned. If the door breaks, it must be replaced with a new door to ensure that you or others do not get burned by the oven and to maintain a steady temperature inside the oven.

Instructions

1. Unplug the oven from the wall outlet and ensure that all components are cool.

2. Open the door to the broil-stop position.

3. Grasp the door with both hands and lift straight up and off the hinges.

4. Rotate the hinges on the oven to the broil-stop position if they have been moved.

5. Lift the new door with both hands and align the hinges on the oven with the hinge slots on the new door.

6. Slide the door onto the hinges until fully inserted.

7. Open and close the door to ensure smooth operation.
