Nuts are one of many foods that quickly can be cut with a food chopper.
Food choppers are manual food processors that cut food into chunks or fine pieces. Food is placed under the "S" blade of the chopper and the device is pressed at the top, making the blade descend on the food. For fine pieces, the blade is pushed repeatedly. For larger chunks, the blade is pressed only a few times. This kitchen appliance makes chopping food quick and simple. It easily can be cleaned in a dishwasher or by handwashing.
Instructions
1. There are various styles of food choppers. Dismantle yours by sliding off the bottom plate and spreading the panel, unscrewing the top and taking out the chopper blade or however it easily comes apart.
2. Rinse off any large food particles under running water. If food is stuck on, use a dish brush to remove it.
3. Wash the part by hand in a sink of warm, soapy water or place the food chopper parts on the top shelf of the dishwasher. It needs to be on the top shelf because it has plastic parts.
4. Run the dishwasher through its regular cycle.
