Troubleshoot A Frigidaire Quiet Clean

Frigidaire manufactures the Quiet Clean line of dishwashers designed to operate as quietly as possible. These dishwashers are for household use. If the dishwasher appears to be malfunctioning or does not operate as intended, troubleshoot the appliance and try a few minor repairs before calling a service technician. Many issues can be resolved by making minor adjustments at home.

Instructions

Food Left on Dishes

1. Select a cycle with a longer washing time. Heavily soiled dishes require a longer wash cycle.

2. Load the dishwasher properly. Do not nest dishes. Move objects that obstruct the spray arm.

3. Increase the temperature on the hot water heater supplying water to the dishwasher to at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Discard old or clumped dish detergent and use fresh detergent.

5. Refill the rinse aid dispenser, if needed.

Dishes Do Not Dry

6. Select the "Hot Dry" cycle.

7. Refill the rinse aid dispenser, if needed.

8. Towel-dry cups that have a concave bottom and plastic items with a dry cloth. These items will not dry in the dishwasher.

Chipped Dishes

9. Load dishes carefully so that they do not hit other dishes during washing or rinsing.

10. Place delicate glassware in the top rack of the dishwasher to minimize the risk of damage.

11. Position glasses against the pins in the racks as opposed to placing them over the pins.

Leaks

12. Change brands of dish detergent. Discard old detergent and measure the detergent carefully.

13. Clean rinse aid spills with a damp cloth. Spilled rinse aid causes foaming, which can result in overflowing.

14. Level the dishwasher. Follow the directions in the Installation Instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Remove Spots and Film on Dishes

15. Load dishes with spots or film into the dishwasher. Do not place detergent in the dispenser.

16. Select the "Heavy Wash" or "Pots & Pans" cycle. Close the door and latch it to start the cycle.

17.Unlatch and open the door once the dishwasher has reached the main wash portion of the cycle.

18. Pour 2 cups white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher tub. Close and latch the door. Allow the cycle to complete.

Does Not Drain

19. Remove kinks in the drain hose.

20. Ensure the selected cycle has completed and is not paused between functions.

21. Empty the garbage disposal if the dishwasher drains into a disposal.
