The Siemens SL84A dishwasher is designed for home use and has several features, including noise protection, digital water monitoring, separate water heating, leak protection, directional spray system, closed drying system, flexible racks and a triple filtration system. The dishwasher is available online or in select stores, including some appliance and department stores, as of March 2011. Troubleshooting issues that might arise with the dishwasher can help you fix the problem on your own without professional repair assistance.
Instructions
1. Plug the Siemens dishwasher into a working electrical outlet if nothing on the dishwasher is operating. Check the household circuit breaker or fuse and reset or replace as needed.
2. Push the door closed fully if the dishwasher has power but isn't starting. The unit will not operate if the door is open.
3. Refill the rinse aid dispenser if the dishes are still wet after the wash and dry cycle. Select a new dry cycle, noting that the "Air Dry" option doesn't utilize heat and may leave items wet.
4. Check the water valve behind the dishwasher and turn it on all the way if the washer doesn't advance to the rinse cycle. Disconnect the water hoses and clean out the filters, located at the point where the hose connects to the dishwasher. Clean the inlet screen inside each hose as well.
5. Straighten the drain hose if the water doesn't pump out of the dishwasher. Disconnect the drain hose and clean the filter, located at the point where the hose connects to the dishwasher. Run the garbage disposal at the kitchen sink, if installed. Lift up on the air gap lid, if there is an air gap installed on the rear of the sink. Disconnect and clean the hoses inside the air gap. Reconnect the hoses and close the air gap lid.
6. Use the proper amount of automatic dishwasher detergent and rinse aid if dishes are still wet or streaky after washing. Load the dishwasher so that items don't block the motion of the spray arms or block the dishwasher detergent dispenser.
