Repair The Spray Arm In A Dishwasher

The spray arm is located at the very bottom of the dishwasher.

Every dishwasher has a spray, or wash, arm below the bottom rack. Water flows through the arm and is sprayed onto the dishes, cleaning anyway food particles. To ensure that all dishes are reached, the arm spins as it sprays. If the spray arm in your dishwasher has broken, it is unlikely that you can repair it -- replacing it is a better option. Since the arm is critical to the cleaning process, replace it before running the dishwasher. The spray arm is designed to be easily removable, and no tools are needed to replace it.

Instructions

1. Remove the bottom dish rack from the dishwasher. Simply roll it or pull it out of the dishwasher.

2. Pull the two clips on the bottom of the spray arm out, then lift the broken arm out of the dishwasher.

3. Place the new spray arm onto the spray arm coupler, then push it down so that it snaps into place.

4. Spin the spray arm by hand to ensure it moves freely.

5. Replace the bottom rack to complete the installation.
