Build a Portable Hand Sink
Numerous jobs can benefit from having a portable hand sink. Whether it is by necessity, such as for food service, or by preference, such as for a land surveyor, you'll find a portable hand sink an easy way to conduct handwashing on the go.
Instructions
Setting up the Station
1. Find a large carboy, jug or water bottle with a spigot on it. It is important to find one where the spigot acts like a switch that stays on until you turn it off; spigots that only release water while you are pushing on a button won't do for handwashing.
2. Situate the water bottle where you desire the handwashing station to be. It must be in an area such as a shelf or ledge where a person can get their hands under the spigot--a shelf or table works great for this.
3. Place the bucket or other collection container under the spigot so that the wastewater will run into it instead of on the ground or floor. This will facilitate disposing of the dirty water in the proper place, especially if it is likely to contain germs, such as from handling raw chicken, or harmful chemicals, such as from handling paint.
4. Place liquid hand soap and paper towel in the vicinity in a manner that keeps them from getting dirty.
