Portable clothes washers typically have a lower capacity than stationary units.
Portable washing machines offer the convenience of doing your laundry in the house even when a washer connection is not available. These portable units plug into standard 110-volt outlets and connect to almost any type of sink. The only requirement is that the sink have a screw-on connection. Although you may have to remove the mesh filter from the faucet to access the connection, attaching the portable washer to your sink requires only a few basic tools.
Instructions
1. Wrap a cloth around the mesh-screen tip of the faucet to protect its finish.
2. Grasp the round tip of the faucet with a set of adjustable pliers and twist off the mesh screen, exposing the threads of the faucet tip.
3. Twist the water supply hose included with the portable washer onto the threads of the faucet by hand. Ensure that the rubber O-ring is pressed into the female connection of the water supply hose before threading the hose onto the faucet.
4. Twist the other end of the water supply hose, also a female connection, by hand onto the cold-water supply point, a threaded male connection typically characterized by a blue mark or the letter "C." Ensure that the rubber O-ring is installed before connecting the hose.
5. Plug in the unit and turn on the faucet.
