Get Rid of Bubbles in a Dishwasher
Dishwashers are one of today's great conveniences. Unfortunately, very specific methods need to be followed when operating a dishwasher. Using the wrong type of soap in your dishwasher often leads to bubbles everywhere. Whether you did this by accident or someone is playing a trick on you it is important to fix the problem quickly so that water or suds do not overflow and damage your floor or cabinetry.
Instructions
Defoamer
1. Purchase Pool/Spa Defoamer from your local home center or pool/spa retailer.
2. Squirt a small amount of Pool/Spa Defoamer into the dishwasher and run the machine. This will rid your machine of bubbles.
3. Repeat this procedure if the bubbles remain.
Downy Fabric Softener
4. Purchase Downy Liquid Fabric Softener from your local shopping center.
5. Add a small amount of Downy to the dishwasher.
6. Run the dishwasher for a few seconds.
7. Select the drain cycle and drain the machine.
Cold Water
8. Fill a cup with cold water.
9. Using the cup, sprinkle cold water onto the bubbles. Cold water will help pop some of the bubbles.
10. Continue sprinkling cold water until the bubbles have gone down.
11. Drain the dishwasher.
12. Repeat sprinkling cold water and draining the dishwasher until all bubbles have disappeared.
Ice & Salt
13. Sprinkle salt in the dishwasher.
14. Place ice throughout the bottom of the dishwasher.
15. Run the dishwasher for a short period of time.
16. Drain as much water from the dishwasher as you can.
17.Repeat the steps until the bubbles have been eliminated.
