6. Cut lengths of 1/2-inch CPVC water pipe as necessary using a hacksaw. Complete the supply line to the dishwasher bay using CPVC fittings, primer and pipe glue. Push the dishwasher into the bay. Insert the dishwasher drain into the opening you cut for the water and drain lines as you push the dishwasher back into place.
7. Connect the water supply to the dishwasher. Remove the tape holding the power line to the floor for the dishwasher. Insert the wire through the wire clamp and connect it to the dishwasher according to the color of the wires. Install wire nuts on the splices. Tighten the wire clamp and install the cover on the wire box using a Phillips screwdriver.
8. Remove the existing tailpiece form the sink drain using a pipe wrench. Install the branch tailpiece to the drain and connect it to the traps using a pipe wrench. Connect the dishwasher drain hose to the nipple on the branch tailpiece. Level the dishwasher. Adjust the front legs by turning clockwise or counter clockwise as necessary.
9. Attach the dishwasher to the bottom of the countertop using two 1/2-inch wood screws and a Phillips screwdriver. Turn the power back on for the kitchen circuit at the breaker box. Allow the glue to cure overnight before you pressurize the hot water lines.
10. Turn the water on in the morning and check the work area for leaks. Install the front kick plate on the dishwasher at the bottom by snapping it into place.
