A control lock on a Kenmore dishwasher can be a particularly advantageous feature to have in homes where there are young children who enjoy pressing buttons. The control lock allows children to continue to press buttons, however the button pressing does not register with the dishwasher and the settings do not change. Although it may appear that the control lock is stuck to stay turned on, you must know the process involved to turn the control lock off.
Instructions
1. Locate the "Energy Saver Dry" pad on the front panel of the washer.
2. Press and hold the pad.
3. Release the pad after four seconds to unlock the control lock.
