Many Bosch dishwashers have wash cycles such as sanitize, delicate, pots and pans and even an automatic cycle that senses soil and time to clean the dishes. So many sophisticated options may lead owners to assume that simple things like water temperature would not be a problem for the machine, but if the water does not seem to get hot inside the dishwasher, troubleshooting should be performed.
Household Water Supply
The water that enters the Bosch dishwasher is the same water that is used throughout the house, so if the water inside the dishwasher seems too low, the household temperature may be too low as well. The home water should be kept at 120 degrees Fahrenheit or more, which can be verified by checking the home water heater. Increase the water temperature as necessary at the water heater.
Hot Water Use
Along with the home water temperature setting, the hot water use in the home may affect the dishwasher performance. If other appliances that use hot water are in use at the same time as the dishwasher, this may reduce the hot water supply to the unit. Wait to use the dishwasher at a time when no other appliances are in use. You might also run the water at the sink next to the dishwasher until it is hot before starting a wash cycle to send hot water directly into the machine.
Cycle Selection
Various wash cycles use various water temperatures, so the problem may be as simple as selecting a different wash cycle. For example, the "Eco Option," "Half Load Option" or "Express" wash cycles all use water below 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If dishes are not getting clean enough following these cycles, run a different cycle with warmer temperatures.
Service
If all else fails, contact Bosch for assistance. The dishwasher heater may be broken, or there may be other repair issues that will require someone with professional expertise to identify and fix.
