Bosch Tassimo Troubleshooting

The Bosch Tassimo is a hot-beverage system used to make single servings of coffee, cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate, latte macchiatto or tea almost instantly. The machine reads the bar codes on discs inserted into it and automatically brews the desired beverage. If the Tassimo fails to operate properly, try troubleshooting it. Minor adjustments or repairs may be all that is needed.

Instructions

1. Clean the water tank if the brewing cycle completes but does not dispense a drink. Rinse the water tank with cool water. Do not use detergent or place the tank in a dishwasher. Ensure that the float inside the tank can move freely. Replace the tank. Insert the service disk to start the cleaning cycle.

2. Wipe the bar code reading window with a damp cloth if the machine fails to read the bar code on a disc. Rub your thumb across the bar code to smooth it out. Insert another disc to determine if it is a problem with the bar code. If it still cannot read a bar code, call the manufacturer's service number for have the machine serviced..

3. Insert the disc holder and piercing unit properly if the brewing unit does not close. Insert a disc and push the clamp on the brewing unit down until it clicks.

4. Remove the disc and clean the brewing unit if leaking occurs. Remove the filter cartridge and water tank. Fill the tank to the "Max" line and replace it. Press the "On/Off" button and place a large cup on the cup shelf. Lift the lid on the brewing unit and insert the service disc. Close the brewing unit and press the "Start/Stop" button. The machine will dispense water into the cup as the cleaning cycle completes.

5. Clean the water tank if the "Fill Tank" light illuminates when the tank is full. The float in the water tank is stuck. Ensure that it can move freely.

6. Call for service if "6d" and "6e" flashes on the display simultaneously. The machine has encountered an error that requires service.
