In the old days, we would check with used appliance stores and have them pick it up (if they were interested). We could place a classified ad in the newspaper and see who responded. Today, you really can buy and sell everything online, including your used appliances.
Instructions
1. Call up the website for any used appliance store in your home area that has one. Send a quick note to see if they are buying appliances. While you are waiting for their answer, check some of the other options you have.
2. Investigate auction options such as eBay. See if they have other used appliances listed. If so, see what people are bidding. This will give you an idea of how the average used appliance sale will go.
3. Consider placing an online ad. Craig's List (on the Internet) is one option for doing this. A little searching will give you tips on other sites.
4. Look around. No matter where you turn, there are plenty of options to sell your used appliances online. From ads in online group areas to resale listings on discussion boards to listing your garage sale on a web classified ad service site, you can find a way to get the word out online that you have used appliances for sale.
5. Complete the purchase process and have the seller hold the appliance for you. This is great, but you will have to go pick it up and can make a final decision then. As bad as it could be, you can still back out if the appliance is not as described.
