Remove The Spray Tower From A Hotpoint Dishwasher

Hotpoint dishwashers include a spray tower part that is attached to the top of the lower spray arm located at the bottom center of the dishwasher. The long plastic tower extends up to the bottom dishwasher rack and it sprays an additional blast of water to the dishes during the cleaning cycle. If the spray tower stops dispensing water during a cleaning cycle then you can manually remove the tower part to inspect for any damage and see if it needs to be replaced.

Instructions

1. Disconnect the electrical power from your Hotpoint dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.

2. Open the dishwasher door, then pull the bottom and top racks all the way out of the dishwasher.

3. Locate the spray towers at the bottom center of the dishwasher attached to the top of the lower spray arm.

4. Turn the spray tower counterclockwise to unscrew it and then lift up the tower part to remove it from the dishwasher.

5. Inspect the spray tower for any damage, such as dents or broken pieces, and replace the part, if necessary.
