Disable An Emerson Microwave Beeper

If you own an Emerson microwave, or any type of microwave, then you are familiar with the loud beeping that sounds when an item is done being microwaved or the kitchen timer ends. In some instances, you may not want to hear the beeper when using your Emerson microwave. With the "Sound" button, you can disable and re-enable it at any time.

Instructions

1. Press the "Sound" button, located below the "Kitchen Timer" button, on the front of your Emerson microwave.

2. View the display on the microwave to confirm that "On" is showing and the "Start" button is flashing.

3. Press the "Sound" button again to turn the sound off; "Off" will show on the display screen.

4. Press the "Start" button. It will stop flashing and the display will return to the time of day.

5. Press the "Sound" button again at any time to turn back on the microwave beeper.
