The Haier HNSE032BB is a compact refrigerator designed for use in a small space, such as an apartment, entertainment space or dormitory room. The unit has a full-width freezer section, shelving for tall bottles and cans and an adjustable temperature control. Operating the refrigerator should be fairly straightforward, but problems can occur with any appliance. Troubleshoot the problem to fix the refrigerator.
Instructions
1. Turn the thermostat control on the Haier refrigerator past "Off" if the refrigerator is not operating and set it to the desired controlled temperature.
2. Extend the leveling legs on the refrigerator if the door does not close easily or pops open after closing to level out the refrigerator. Turn the legs clockwise to extend the legs, or counterclockwise if the legs are too long. The refrigerator will operate more effectively if kept level.
3. Maintain proper space around the Haier refrigerator to allow for air circulation if the compressor seems to run constantly or the temperature is inaccurate. The recommended clearance is at least 3/4 inch on each side of the refrigerator, and 2 inches on the top and bottom of the refrigerator. Do not stuff your refrigerator; this will greatly impact its operation.
4. Use a power outlet with at least 115 volts, 15 amps of power if the refrigerator does not seem cold enough or has lost power. Check with an electrician or use a voltmeter to verify the outlet power. Do not use an extension cord with this refrigerator unless the extension cord has a 3-slot outlet, 3-wire extension and 3-blade grounding plug.
5. Rotate the temperature control to "4" or higher if the refrigerator seems to warm. Let 24 hours pass before moving the temperature control to a warmer setting to allow the unit time to cool down.
6. Wait 24 hours before plugging in the refrigerator if the unit was stored on the side or back for any amount of time to allow any fluids to drain out of the compartment.
7. Check the door gasket and clean if necessary if excess condensation builds up on the exterior of the refrigerator or the unit runs frequently. Close shelves and move items away from the front of bins if the door does not close well.
