Aluminum mini blinds offer shade to the home, but they can be like magnets to dust. The dreaded task of taking down your mini blinds and cleaning them may be getting put off because of the effort required to do so. Fortunately, you may leave your aluminum mini blinds right where they are and clean them the easy way.
Instructions
1. Release the blinds all the way down and put the slats in the closed position.
2. Run a vacuum cleaner brush attachment over the blinds to remove surface dust.
3. Put an old cotton sock over your hand. Lightly dampen the sock with all-purpose cleaner or window cleaner.
4. Grasp the blinds' slats one at a time between the thumb and forefinger of your sock-covered hand. Run your fingers from one end of the slat to the other. Start at the top of the mini blinds and work your way down.
5. Switch to a clean sock and apply more cleaner as one becomes dirty. Repeat this process until each individual slat has been cleaned.
