Turn Off A Microwave Sound On A Ge

GE microwave ovens have a built-in feature that produces a "beep" each time a button is pressed. This audio feature is meant to alert you that a button has been pressed on the appliance. Many GE microwaves allow you to change the volume of the "beep" and even turn it off at any time. Although the "beep" is disabled, the timer and end-of-cycle sounds will still play.

Instructions

1. Press the "Beeper Volume" button, located on the microwave's control panel.

2. Press the 0 to 3 buttons to choose the loudness setting. Press "0" to mute the sounds, "1" to set the "beep" to the lowest possible setting, "2" to set it to the medium setting and "3" to set the "beep" to the loudest setting.

3. Press the "Start/Pause" button to save your settings.
