1. Shop on line first, this will save you a lot of time traveling from one store to the next trying to find what you are looking for. While most places do not list their scratch and dent appliances on line, Sears does. Simply go to their website and at the bottom of their home page you will see a link to their online outlet. You will not be able to purchase scratch and dent appliances online at this site but it will list their products for you. The Sears Outlet store is located in Babylon at 1000-2 Montauk Hwy, West Babylon, NY 11704.
2. PC Richards has an awesome scratch and dent clearance store in Deer Park just across the street from the Tanger Outlet. While you can't save any time by calling ahead for specific items here, you can be sure that there will always be a big selection of appliances to choose from at a great discount.
The clearance items are located in the back of the store and that section is actually bigger than the actual store!
If you see something you like here, put a deposit on it fast because these items do not last long in the store.
3. Hampton Appliance Center in Carle Place located next to Ethan Allen is a beautiful store. In the back of the store there is a nice selection of floor model appliances or scratch and dent appliances drastically reduced.
4. Call up your favorite store and just ask them where their clearance appliances are. Most of them will just have a few in the back of the store but if you are lucky one will actually have a warehouse just for scratch and dent appliances or floor models.
5. Don't forget Craigslist. Many smaller appliance stores will actually post these scratch and dent items for sale here.
