Operational Issues
If your Maytag Plus MSD2756GEB refrigerator won't run, verify that it is turned on and that the power cord is plugged into an outlet. Examine your household circuit breaker and fuses, and reset the circuit breaker if tripped. Change out blown fuses. Your Maytag refrigerator does not run when it is in the defrost cycle. Remove any obstructions blocking the base grille. Your refrigerator also runs longer if you have just added a lot of food to it. If these methods don't resolve the problem, check your thermostat. Adjust the thermostat to a lower temperature, and see if the refrigerator shuts off. If it does, then your thermostat is working normally. If not, replace the thermostat.
Icemaker/Water Dispenser Issues
If your Maytag Plus MSD2756GEB refrigerator icemaker won't produce ice, lower the stop arm. The raised position shuts off the icemaker. Turn on the water supply valve, and completely close the freezer door. Allow the freezer up to 24 hours to cool down if you just installed the refrigerator or if the freezer is too warm. If your icemaker is not producing enough ice or if the cubes are small, check the water supply line, and remove any clogs. Clean the water filter, and check the water pressure. If the water pressure is below 20 psi, wait for the pressure to return to normal.
Additional Issues
Your Maytag refrigerator features a dispenser lock that keeps others from dispensing water or obtaining ice. You must unlock the dispenser to obtain ice and water. Press the icon that looks like a key three times within 10 seconds to unlock. Your refrigerator normally makes noise. If you hear a rattling near the base of the refrigerator, secure the drip pan in place with a piece of utility tape. If the cabinet vibrates, level the cabinet and stabilize the floor beneath the refrigerator.
