With every button press on your Emerson microwave, the machine will beep. The microwave will also beep repeatedly when your food has finished cooking, should you forget to retrieve it immediately. Depending on the location of your microwave, these alerts can be a nuisance. You can turn the sound off on the machine if you would rather not hear the beeping.
Instructions
1. Press the "Sound" button.
2. Press the "Sound" button once more. The display readout should switch from "On" to "Off."
3. Press "Start" to save the sound setting. Repeat the process to turn the sound back on, if necessary.
