Troubleshoot A Danby Silhouette

A home wine cooler stores wine at ready-to-serve temperatures.

The Danby Silhouette Wine Cooler Refrigerator accommodates up to 27 750-milliliter wine bottles for humidified chilling. It offers a temperature range of 39 degrees Fahrenheit to 64 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as seven enameled black-wire shelves. A blue LED dispenser light inside adds visibility, and the one-piece tinted tempered-glass door incorporates a childproof lock for secure storage. The Danby Silhouette may be operated as a free-standing unit or installed into a built-in configuration.

Instructions

AC Power Out

1. Check the fuse box or circuit breaker that controls the appliance. Replace a fuse or reset the circuit breaker if necessary.

2. Unplug the cooler from the AC outlet in case a power surge has occurred. Wait several seconds and then plug the cooler back in.

3. Make sure that the power plug is securely inserted into a three-prong wall outlet.

Cooler Temperature Too High

4. Check the temperature setting at the control panel on the front of the cooler.

5. Make sure that the cooler door closes completely. Verify that the door gasket seals properly against the cabinet.

6. Keep the door closed as much as possible during normal use. Do not open the door for excessive periods of time.

7. Confirm that the interior lights are switched off. Do not leave the lights on for extended periods of time.

8. Make sure that the exhaust vent at the bottom of the front of the cooler is not obstructed.

9. Add warm bottles of wine to the cooler sequentially, not all at once. Introducing multiple warm bottles simultaneously may raise the cooler's temperature.

Condensation Forms on the Cooler Cabinet or Door

10. Evaluate the relative humidity inside the residence. If the humidity is higher than usual, the condensation should disappear when humidity declines to normal.

11. Make sure that the cooler door closes completely. Verify that the door gasket seals properly against the cabinet.

12. Keep the door closed as much as possible during normal use. Do not open the door for excessive periods of time.
