Air
Air compressors are machines that put air under extreme pressure. When the air releases, it comes out in a forceful stream. If the air output is low in a Husky system, remove the connection tube that puts air into the tank. Undo the head bolts on the pump and then take off the head of the pump. Look at the valve plate and check for torn up reed valves or a broken gasket. If found, replace and reassemble it. When checking the above, if nothing is found out of the ordinary, start looking at supply lines and valves. Make sure there are no leaks that could lower pressure in the system. Then look at the filters to see if they're clogged.
Water
If it becomes evident that water is in the supply lines, the lines should be undone and poured out. Next, look for the cause. It could be the air dryer that comes with the system. Also, the condensation trap could need cleaning.
Other Issues
Not only can water get in the lines, so can oil. If oil is thought to be in the lines, it could mean the oil air separation mechanism is damaged. If dirt or other debris gets in the lines, a filter could be added to the line to control the problem. Generally, this issue only comes up with older systems, and repair might not be cost effective. If the compressor seems to idle for long periods, follow the manual to adjust properly.
