Steps To Follow To Operate The Oven In My New Frigidaire Electric Range

The Frigidaire electric range uses electrical power to cook and heat food

The Frigidaire Company specializes in the manufacture of home appliances and accessories, such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers and ranges. Frigidaire ranges are available in gas and electric types and can be purchased to slide in to fit with surrounding cabinets or as a freestanding unit. Operating a new Frigidaire electric oven should only be done by an adult comfortable with operating a large electrical appliance but only takes a few steps to get the unit operational once the stove has been correctly connected to a grounded power outlet.

Instructions

1. Open the oven door and insert the oven racks. Tilt the front of each rack upward and slide the rack along the guides along the sides of the oven until it fits into place. Leave some space between the racks.

2. Press the "Clock" button, followed by the up or down arrows to set the correct time of day. The oven will not work if the clock is not set.

3. Push the "Bake" pad to set the temperature for baking. Use the up or down arrow to set the desired cooking temperature. The oven will beep three times when the desired temperature is reached, and the "Preheat" light will turn off on the display. Press the "Clear/Off" pad when cooking is complete.

4. Use the "Bake Time" feature to begin baking immediately and shut the oven off automatically when finished. Put the food in the oven and close the oven door. Press the "Bake" pad and push the up or down arrows to set the desired baking temperature. Push "Bake Time" and then the up or down arrow to set the desired amount of cooking time. The oven will automatically turn off when the baking timer has expired.

5. Press the "Timer On/Off" pad to set the minute timer and press the up arrow to increase the time or the down arrow to move the time down. The timer will begin counting down as soon as the up or down arrow is released and will beep three times when the timer has completed. Push the "Timer On/Off" pad again to turn off the timer.

6. Use the "Broil" command to cook meats or fish or to quickly brown the top of a food or dish. When the oven is still cool, place one of the cooking racks at the highest rack position in the oven. Push "Broil" and press the up and down arrows to adjust the desired broil setting. Place the broil grid pan on top of the broiler pan and place the food on top of the grid pan. Set the pan on the top rack and pull the oven door open to the "Broil Stop" position, which is the first position with the door open. The door will remain slightly ajar. Broil food as desired and use oven cooking pads to remove the hot pan from the oven. Press "Clear/Off" when broiling is complete.
