Reinstall a Self-Cleaning Filter in a Frigidaire Dishwasher
The Gallery line of Frigidaire dishwashers includes a self-cleaning filter that removes excess food debris from dirty dishes and automatically washes them clean. The filter should be periodically removed to check for any signs of damage and to ensure the filter is working properly. Reinserting the self-cleaning filter into a Frigidaire dishwasher only takes a few steps.
Instructions
1. Remove the cylinder filter, located in the bottom of the dishwasher near the front. Check for any large debris or food items and discard. Rinse with clean water and set aside.
2. Gently pull up on the rotating dishwasher spray arm to remove from the dishwasher.
3. Lift the filter housing from the bottom of the dishwasher.
4. Rinse the filter with clean water until the water runs clear. Set the filter housing back in the bottom of the dishwasher.
5. Push the spray arm back into position in the bottom of the dishwasher. Set the cylinder filter back into place.
