Disconnect The End Of The Cycle Signal On A Bosch Wfmc5301

Bosch washing machines and dryers have an acoustic signal for different cycles.

Bosch designs and manufactures a variety of home appliances. The WMFC5301 series are washing machines that come in two models, at time of publication. The "end of cycle" signal makes a loud noise when the washer is finished. Disconnecting the signal would also disconnect the washers computerized settings, but silencing the signal can be accomplished using the washers control pad.

End of Cycle Signal

The "end of cycle" signal makes a loud noise when the washer is finished. It's not recommended to disconnect the signal. Disconnecting the signal would also disconnect the washers computerized settings and not allow the machine to run properly. Silencing the acoustic signal can be accomplished using the washer's control pad.

Disable

Wait until the washer has completed its current cycle. Deactivating the washer's "end of cycle" signal won't work if the washer is currently running. Select any program on the washing machine. Press and hold any two of the "Options" buttons until the washing machine makes a short noise. Deactivating the "end of cycle" signal will deactivate all acoustic signals.

Activate

You may feel it's necessary to have the signals functioning for special wash cycles every so often. Reactivating the signals on the washing machine is simply done by repeating the process from beginning to end. First, select any program on the washing machine and then press and hold any two of the "Options" buttons until the washing machine makes a short noise. The acoustic signals will reactivate.

Factory Settings

If you feel the washing machine is not deactivating the "end of cycle" acoustic signal, you can reset the machine to its factory setting. First, turn the machine off when its not in use. Wait five seconds and turn the machine back on. Attempt to disable the signal again. You can also turn the machine off and unplug it from the electrical outlet, then plug it back in. If disabling the signal does not work, refer to the warranty for the washing machine and contact Bosch's customer service center. The washing machine has a two-year limited warranty on its electronics, at the time of publication.
