The Kenmore 363.1404595 dishwasher has several typical features, including a control panel, upper and lower racks, spray arms, detergent and rinse aid dispensers, and a variety of wash, rinse and dry cycles. Anyone experiencing minor problems with the dishwasher such as issues with water filling or draining the unit might find that attempting troubleshooting methods can help resolve the situation. If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, a service professional should be contacted for assistance.
Instructions
1. Reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse if the Kenmore dishwasher is plugged into a power outlet but has no power.
2. Turn the control dial to a wash cycle and push the cycle button in completely if the washer has power but is not washing as expected.
3. Look under the sink and make sure the water valve that is connected to the dishwasher water inlet hose is turned on if the water is not filling. Disconnect power to the dishwasher, turn the water valve off, place a towel under the valve and disconnect the hose. Clean out the inlet screen in the hose and reconnect the hose to the valve. Turn the water back on.
4. Secure items on the rack pins if there is a rattling or strange noise during operation. Maintain space between each dish to prevent dishes from hitting each other.
5. Wipe up rinse aid or detergent spills when they occur if the dishwasher is leaking, which indicates over-sudsing. Use the recommended amount of detergent and do not overfill the dispenser. If there is excess suds in the dishwasher, open the door and let some of the suds evaporate. Pour in 1 gallon of cold water and close the dishwasher door. Slowly turn the "Cycle Indicator Dial" to a drain cycle. Push "Start" to drain. Repeat as necessary.
6. Clean the air gap on the sink, if applicable, when water does not drain from the tub. Run the garbage disposal and remove the knockout plug between the garbage disposal and the dishwasher.
7. Run a "Heavy Wash" cycle if there is spotting or filming on dishes. Wait 20 minutes and then open the dishwasher door. Pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the dishwasher tub and close the door, allowing the 363.1404595 dishwasher to complete the cycle.
