If this happens, performing some troubleshooting steps might help identify the problem and offer some possible resolutions.
Instructions
1. Ensure the Frigidaire dishwasher is firmly connected to a working power supply if the dishwasher is not functioning. Check the fuse or circuit breaker and replace or restart as necessary.
2. Check the water temperature from the sink nearest to the dishwasher if dishes are not clean enough after the wash cycle has completed. The water temperature should be at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit for proper wash performance.
3. Examine items in the dishwasher if there is debris left on dishes after the completion of the wash cycle. Ensure objects are not blocking the spray arms, which will prevent proper washing.
4. Avoid selecting the "Air Dry" cycle if dishes are still wet after the cycle has completed. Add rinse aid, available at most grocery stores or hardware stores, to the rinse aid compartment.
5. Place delicate items in the top rack of the dishwasher and space dishes evenly if dishes are chipped after washing. Hand wash items that are not marked "dishwasher safe".
6. Run the garbage disposal on the sink located closest to the dishwasher if the dishwasher is not draining properly. Locate the knockout plug in the food waste disposer inlet and reposition if necessary. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or obstructed, as this will prevent proper drainage.
